We focus our attention on what is essential and eternal, without distraction by the transitory or the trivial, in humble simplicity.

We seek to find reconciliation between peoples and nations in conflict, in a constant search for nonviolent means of conflict resolution; it means a continuing search for peace and social justice.

It is the honesty, conviction, and courage to live truthfully and faithfully to our values in our everyday lives.

We find a sense of community in myriad ways with each other, by recognizing that all human beings are brothers and sisters, one human family, no matter how great our differences of experience, of culture, of age, of understanding. By affirming and nurturing the best we find in each other, we are striving for and living a better community. And this speaks to the power that emerges when we as individuals are united in purpose.

We hold that all persons, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, wealth, social class, privilege or education, are equally valued; that each of us is of great and equal intrinsic worth, fully deserving of love, compassion, and understanding.
